The following is a message from the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Newton, MA: Sibshops reflect a belief that our communities need to acknowledge the difficulties faced by siblings of children with special needs (medical, developmental, cognitive, mental, physical) and provide them with opportunities to connect with each other just as many parents of children with special needs have benefited from sharing their experiences with each other.

Students and their families are welcome to learn about the resources available to them as they transition from high school into the adult world. The fair will include representatives from agencies and organizations that support post-secondary education, employment, independent living, leisure activities, and more.

Youth Leadership Forum group activity

Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) is hosting the 2017 Massachusetts Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) in partnership with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission and collaborators across Massachusetts.

YLF is an overnight conference for youth and young adults with disabilities, held annually in Massachusetts and other states across the country. YLF participants build leadership skills and leave better prepared for future employment,

Butler Foundation

Tuesday, December 6th (8:30am-1:30pm) – The Butler Conference for Disability Inclusion in After School Programs will provide information and insight to leadership and senior staff about inclusive after school and youth programming in the Boston community.
