Last week the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) put out rules for schools to follow to make sure that students with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) get an equal education.
This guidance is in response to the thousands of complaints OCR received over the past 5 years about students with ADHD being discriminated against in schools.
Want to learn what your child’s rights are? Read OCR Know Your Rights to see what your child with ADHD deserves at school. You could even make sure these rights are included in your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)!
